Keith began his career in 1971 as professional fire fighter and spent 19 years progressing through the ranks. In 1985 he was seconded from the fire department to take on the role of Coordinator of Fire Safety for Expo 86 at Canada Place. Post Expo 86, Keith returned the fire department and assumed the duties as a Captain of Fire Prevention.
In 1989 Keith left the fire department and joined British Columbia Buildings Corporation (BCBC) as the Coordinator of Fire Safety and Emergency Management. In that position Keith was responsible for the inspections and audits of all the government buildings, and for training for staff. With this position Keith also was the Local Assistant to the Fire Commissioners’ of British Columbia for all provincial buildings.
Keith started EMT Management Inc. in 2002.
